Which calculation method is correct?
For Pakistan, the University of Islamic Sciences Karachi method is most widely followed. For North America, use ISNA. For Saudi Arabia, use Umm Al-Qura. Different schools of thought have slightly different Fajr/Isha angles.
What is the difference between Hanafi and Shafi'i Asr?
Hanafi Asr starts when the shadow of an object is twice its length (plus the shadow at noon). Shafi'i Asr starts when the shadow equals the length of the object. Hanafi Asr is typically 1-1.5 hours later than Shafi'i Asr.
